Ugandas youth is to the greatest possible extent without prospects. Life is taking place in the here and now, withal they are facing the everyday challenges of growing up in an East African Country. Breakdance Project Uganda (BPU) is a youth centered, grass roots organization that uses breakdance and other elements of Hip Hop culture to empower, encourage and unite Uganda’s youth, to become active and socially conscious individuals. In the process these young people are without ambiguity, straightforward and full of energy.
This work is an extract from my personal longterm project, highlighting the vibrant activity and the spirit of Ugandas youth.
